My first solo exhibition took place in January 2024 at The Garden Gallery, an independent artist-run space founded by émigré artists Mayana in Tbilisi, Georgia.
The Garden became a site-specific total installation with video works exploring themes of loss and gain. The Dark Garden became a place where we cultivate light.
Based on my personal and family experience of migration, I work with the concept of “portable” art. I recreate my own space wherever I am, and therefore I can pack it up and carry it with me when it is time to move on.
In February 2024, I left Georgia and continued my path.
